Hey Yal! My name is Kay Elizabeth and I am a NOLA girl who loves to travel!
I jumped off the porch early, and began my travel experience at the very young age of 2 years old. I spent much time with my godparents Vera and Joseph Mackey, who took me everywhere with them. We really dipped for whole summers lol. Often times we frequented Atlanta, Maryland, Houma and a couple other places that slip my mind at the moment. Thinking back, this is were my Love for Travel began. Thank you for taking this journey with me as I look back on past trips and explore many more in the future. Welcome to Amor Avontuur!
Travel gives me EVERYTHING, LIFE; Ya Hear Me! When I reflect on how big of an impact being able to see the world has has on my life, this phrase comes to mind, “Travel is not reward for working, it’s education for living”. That saying couldn’t have been more true when I thought about the reasons I wanted to start this travel blog. But before I get into those reasons, let me explain what the words Amor Avontuur mean!
